Who we are
The Riviera Estates Tenants’ Union is a collective of residents, representing a super majority of our small, tight-knit community in Eagle, Idaho.
For years, our neighborhood was defined by its peace and quiet, where neighbors became family and we reliably took care of one another in times of need. We cherished the homes and the community we built here.
That peace was shattered by a pattern of harassment and aggressive tactics from Elevate Eagle Management. We were confronted with drastic rent hikes, the sudden and total destruction of our wildlife, and the constant threat of unfair fines and evictions.
Faced with these abuses, we had a choice: surrender our homes or stand together. We chose to stand.
Our union was born from necessity—to protect our community, defend our rights, and restore the peace and stability we once knew. We are not just fighting against unfair practices; we are fighting for the preservation of our neighborhood and the principle that residents deserve respect, transparency, and a voice in their own community. Our strength comes from our unity, and we will not be divided.
Why we fight
The Riviera Estates Tenants’ Union was formed to end the pattern of harassment and financial abuse by Elevate Commercial Management. Demetre Booker Jr.’s page on Elevate Commercial states that “our team believes firmly in treating every resident with fairness, respect and integrity.” He accomplishes this by hiking our rents 40% and threatening eviction to our neighbors.
We organized in direct response to unimaginable rent hikes, harassment of our community members, the loss of services like power and water (without any compensation), the destruction of our neighborhood and the constant threat of unfair fines and evictions. You can see the change in the look and feel in the pictures to the side.
Our mission is to fight back against these predatory practices, protect our homes from mismanagement, and secure a stable, respectful, and affordable community for all residents through the power of our collective voice.
