11/3/25 Demetre’s Response — Silence
The Riviera Estates Tenants’ Union publicly condemns Demetre and Elevate Eagle Management for completely ignoring our collective bargaining demands. Instead of addressing critical issues like the 40% rent hike, unauthorized tree destruction, and resident harassment, the landlord deflected by touting unrelated "improvements."
10/25/25 idaho’s first tenant union — Riviera Estates Tenants’ Union Launch
Our community has made Idaho history by officially forming the state's first tenant union at Eagle MHC. With 84% (and increasing) of households united, we are demanding that owner Demetre Booker respond to our calls for a rent reduction, an end to harassment, and a fair lease. We have given him until November 3rd to negotiate, and we are prepared to escalate our actions to protect our homes and families.
08/21/25 New owner, 40% increase in rent
For months, a quiet sense of dread has been growing in our community at Riviera Estates. What was once a peaceful, affordable place we were proud to call home suddenly felt unstable. Then, on August 21st, the Idaho Statesman published a story that confirmed our worst fears: we were not overreacting.
This is where the Treasure Valley Tenants Union came in to help us organize effectively, and to stand up for what’s right!
